Meet the new 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4, which according to the company is now lighter, wider faster and more agile than ever before.
The seventh-generation of the 911 Carrera 4 now benefits from the latest version of the active all-wheel-drive system PTM (Porsche Traction Management). The typical Porsche all-wheel-drive system has focused rear bias allowing for maximum vehicle dynamics on a variety of road surfaces and in all weather conditions.
The 2013 all-wheel-drive 911 is now available in four variants including 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4S, each as Coupe and Cabriolet. The most distinct feature of the new 911 Carrera 4 is the wider rear section, which is outward by 22 mm for a total of 44 millimeters.
Power for the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe and Cabriole comes from a 3.4 liter flat-six engine making 350-hp allowing for a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.3 seconds (4.5 seconds for the Cabriolet) and a top speed of 177 mph (175 mph for the Cabriolet). Fuel-economy comes in at an EPA estimated 20/28 mpg (city/highway) for the Coupe and 20/27 mpg for the Cabriolet.
The 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is powered by a 3.8 liter boxer making 400-hp allowing for a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.9 seconds (4.1 seconds for the Cabriolet) and a top speed of 185 mph (183 mpg for the Cabriolet). Fuel-economy comes in at 19/26 mpg for both the coupe and the convertible.
Pricing for the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe starts $91,030 and $102,930 for the Cabriolet. The 911 Carrera 4S starts at $105,630 for the Coupe and $117,530 for the Cabriolet.
